Not a getaway. A way back.

Healing is a
Collective Path
Our retreats are rooted in relational medicine, intentionally community-based and family-inclusive. We hold space for intergenerational healing, for mothers and fathers, for elders and youth - because Brazilian traditions carry a truth Western wellness often forgets: healing happens through connection. Here, we remember what ceremony has always known - that we return to ourselves through each other and through nature.

Ancestral Knowledge Lives Here
These ceremonies are vessels of ancestral knowledge carried through Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous lineages, held in prayer, plant medicine and memory. Rooted in land and guided by elders, they center not the individual, but the family, the community, the forest and the ancestors. This is not a trend. It’s a return to the source that has always known how to heal, acknowledging that the future is ancestral..

Where Comfort Serves the Sacred
Transformation requires safety. At Jornadas de Kura, every detail from our thoughtfully designed accommodations, nourishing meals and natural rhythms - is here to support your journey. Not to distract, but to ground. Not to pamper, but to prepare. Because healing doesn’t happen in escape. It happens in truth, in care, and in a space where your body can finally exhale.
Start with intention
This is your invitation to step into the world of Brazilian plant medicine with presence and care. Rather than offering quick answers or flashy promises, we share reflections, teachings, and stories that help you understand the deeper foundations of our work.
Whether you're exploring this path for the first time or returning after time away, this video series offers space to slow down, listen, and connect with the values that guide everything we do. It's not about getting somewhere fast. It's about preparing yourself and arriving with clarity.

Meet your Retreat Hosts

Meet Glauber
Dr. Glauber Loures de Assis is a Brazilian sociologist, ceremonial guide, and father of three. For over 15 years, he has worked at the intersection of sacred plants, ancestral knowledge, and social change—holding hundreds of ceremonies in community, rooted in his ayahuasca church and walking with the blessing of Indigenous elders.
As both scholar and practitioner, Glauber brings clarity, care, and a decolonial perspective to the healing journey. He is the founder of Céu da Divina Estrela, co-editor of Women and Psychedelics (Synergetic Press), and Director of the Psychedelic Parenthood Community.
At Jornadas de Kura, Glauber offers more than ceremony. He invites guests into a living experience of Brazilian culture and Global South traditions, where sacred plants are part of a larger cosmology of care. This is not a formula—it’s a shared path of beauty, humility, and truth
Meet Jacqueline
Jacqueline Rodrigues is a Brazilian anthropologist, Santo Daime leader, and mother of three. With over two decades of experience in ayahuasca and plant medicine practice, she weaves spiritual depth, academic knowledge, and lived experience into her leadership. Her path is rooted in care, resistance, and collective healing.
At Jornadas de Kura, Jacqueline holds ceremonies, supports women and caregivers, and brings visibility to the everyday strength of mothers, especially those raising neurodiverse children. Her background in performing arts, medicinal plants, and nutrition adds depth and precision to her work.
As co-leader of the retreat, Jacqueline creates space for truth-telling, learning, and repair—where women’s voices are honored and intergenerational wounds begin to heal through community, care, and ceremony.

DON’T WAIT for the perfect time...
Becoming part of the Jornadas de Kura community begins with more than a booking. It starts with a shared intention to explore healing, tradition, and connection in a way that honors both the personal and the collective.
When you step into this space, you’ll find:
- A supportive community rooted in Brazilian indigenous spiritual tradition, where healing is held in relationship, not in isolation
- Access to a sacred lineage of ceremonies guided with integrity, cultural respect, and deep care
- A place where families, seekers, and changemakers come together to reconnect with themselves, the land, and each other
You’re invited to take the first step. Not just toward a retreat, but toward a deeper way of living and relating. Begin by exploring what this path holds for you.
