Authentic plant medicine experience in the heart of Brazil
Next Retreat January 2026
Why join us?
A unique and sacred gathering rooted in ayahuasca traditions, guided by Indigenous and Afro-Brazilian leaders, and held on ancestral quilombola land.
At Kura, we don't just sit with the medicines, we prepare them with our own hands, guided by the elders and the forest.
We walk slowly, listen deeply, and act in reciprocity.

Meet your Retreat Hosts
Our retreats are guided by Dr. Glauber Loures de Assis, a Brazilian scholar, ceremonial leader, and lifelong student of Santo Daime. Glauber brings a rare combination of academic insight and lived spiritual practice. He has spent decades working at the intersection of healing, justice, and tradition, walking alongside Indigenous elders, supporting families in ceremony, and shaping international conversations about plant medicine. His approach is grounded, inclusive, and deeply rooted in Brazilian cultural lineage. At Jornadas de Kura, Glauber doesn't lead from the front. He holds space beside you.
This is not a retreat business. It's a living forest built through relationship, ceremony, and resistance.
